Announcement of Climate Promise

As part of the Climate Promise initiative, launched on 16 December 2020, a series of 17 workshops were held from 16 February to 5 March 2021. A High-Level discussion among policy makers kick started the process, to set the way forward for the NDC revision, with a wide range of stakeholders invited to provide their valuable inputs. Sectoral dialogues were conducted for the key adaptation and mitigation sectors, with an active participation of high-level representatives of public institutions, as well as representatives from local authorities, academia, private sector, NGOs, women and youth associations, to collectively contribute towards an ambitious and inclusive NDC. The National Conference and the Ministerial meeting were two key events during these consultations.
