Consultation Workshops
Consultations were held in the key sectors of ICZM, Blue Economy & Fisheries, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Energy, Transport, Health, Water, Infrastructure, Tourism and Waste Management. These discussions acted as a platform to reflect on NDC targets, barriers and needs, as ministries were invited to put across their future sectoral strategies, targets and action plans. These inputs were further synthesized to strengthen and define ambitious NDC targets for the Republic of Mauritius. Frank discussions took place in a cordial atmosphere, and were facilitated by UNDP consultants, who provided valuable guidance to structure the proposed projects. Overall, there was a good entente and coordination between UNDP, MOE and AFD consultants who are also supporting the Government of Mauritius to revise the NDC.
